Proselytizing One Another

Early on this year, I remember having one of those light bulb moments where some things became clearer. Reading Jonathan Dodson’s  Unbelievable Gospel some months later crystallized some of those thoughts. I was convicted by the years I had spent proselytizing others toward lifestyle choices and church traditions, rather than evangelizing or sharpening brother and sisters through the gospel of Christ. This article: The Problem With Proselytizing  was born out me of thinking through some of these issues. It is published over at GCD.

  1. Luma, thank you for your humility in writing about who you were, and praise God for your ability to share Him. I lament how deeply sinful we are that we actually prefer vinegar to wine and tell others how much better our vinegar is than theirs. Praise God for His renewing work in my heart and giving me Grace when I finally see I’ve been passing out vinegar. God IS the Gospel! Amen.

  2. So good. So convicting. I didn’t realize at first that this was YOUR article, as I had to get redirected to GCD. So happy for you that you can share your lessons learned with others.
